Using the site
You may use this site for free, for personal and non-commercial purposes. Please do not misuse it, for example by sending automated requests that put a load on the site or the data services behind it, or by trying to disrupt it.
Where the information comes from
Information is gathered from public sources listed on the data sources page and is shown as received, with some calculations and summaries (for example, the plain-language summary, "feels like" values, air quality index, and rankings). We do not control those sources and cannot guarantee that the information is accurate, complete or up to date. The plain-language summary is produced by simple fixed rules, not by a person or a forecaster.
Alerts and reports
If you turn on notifications, they are provided as a free convenience and on a best-effort basis. They can be late, missing, repeated or wrong: data sources can be delayed or down, our service or your device's push service can fail, and phone settings (such as Do Not Disturb, battery saver or blocked notifications) can stop them. Never rely on this site's notifications as your only way of getting a warning. Use official sources: wireless emergency alerts, NOAA Weather Radio, weather.gov, and your local emergency officials. We may change, limit or stop the notification service at any time, and we may remove subscriptions that look like abuse.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site's owner is not liable for any loss or damage (including injury, property damage or lost profits) arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or from reliance on its information. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Not endorsed by government agencies
This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by NOAA, the National Weather Service, the U.S. Geological Survey, or any other agency or data provider named here. Their names are used only to say where data comes from.
Voluntary support
If a "Support the project" link is shown, it is a voluntary gift to the person who runs this site, handled by a separate payment service under its own terms and privacy policy. It is not a charity and gifts are not tax-deductible. A gift does not buy any service, feature or priority, and the site stays free to use either way.

Maps, data and links come from third parties with their own terms. We are not responsible for their content.
